Northshire Day School is currently hiring a full-time Early Childhood Educator to work in our Saplings & Birch classrooms with our infant children at our 5 STAR early childhood education program in Manchester Center, Vermont. Duties Applicants must be enthusiastic and have a passion for working with and educating young children, the ability to create a safe and nurturing environment, proficient written and verbal communication, knowledge about the STARS program, TS Gold, early childhood licensing regulations, and planning and implementing a play-based curriculum. Must be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Qualified candidates must be enthusiastic, flexible, motivated and committed to working in the field of early education. . Candidates will need skills and education in child development and learning, building family and community relationships, observing, documenting and assessing children, using developmentally appropriate practice, building quality curriculum following the Vermont Early Learning Standards, ensuring a healthy and safe environment and a commitment to growing as an early childhood professional. Must be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Requirements Candidates must have availability between the hours of 7:30am-5:30pm. This is a year-round position. Requirements for this position include holding a minimum of an AA in Early Childhood Education and two years experience or a Level III certificate on the Early Childhood Career Ladder. Preferred candidates will have a VT state teaching license. We will consider a highly motivated trainee dedicated to getting the required education and coursework to become a qualified Early Childhood Educator.
