We welcome all applicants and look forward to new colleagues joining our community!Duties:The Audit Associate I will apply critical thinking and analytical skills to perform financial, operational, and compliance audits in accordance with the Internal Audit program. Review Bank practices and records for compliance with established internal policies and procedures. Develop reasonable and logical recommendations for improving internal controls, operating efficiency, and the adequacy of Bank records and recordkeeping. Apply sound organizational and written communication skills to thoroughly document audit work in accordance with the Internal Audit Department's documentation procedures and write reports on regularly scheduled audits, non-scheduled audits, and at any time when issues need to be addressed by management to communicate audit findings and recommendations to appropriate parties. Conduct follow-up reviews of financial, operational, or regulatory compliance deficiencies noted during audits. Conduct investigations of irregularities discovered by or brought to the auditor's attention. Investigate, as requested by senior management, fraud, embezzlements, and defalcations within the Bank. Work in cooperation with law enforcement agencies in any such cases as deemed necessary. Work closely with state and federal banking supervisory agencies in support of their routine examinations of the Bank and its Internal Audit program.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or related discipline Up to three years of internal audit experience Good interpersonal and communications skills Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences Excellent teamwork skills Proactive, hands-on, results-driven orientation required Strong professional and technical writing skills Ability to maintain exceptional attention to detail Ability to produce high quality work products for Executive Management and the Board of Directors Ability to sit in front of a computer for extended periods of time Ability to travel, occasionally overnight
