Accountabilities: As an Oncology Care and Access ("OC&A") Manager / Senior Manager with AstraZeneca, you we have an exciting opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing oncology business within a leading global pharmaceutical company located in Gaithersburg, MD. In this position, you will be responsible for supporting U.S. market access strategy for a leading AstraZeneca oncology medicine. This is a unique opportunity to join a highly visible team with an ambitious spirit to contribute to the commercialization of a leading oncology portfolio.In this role, you will collaborate with a wide breadth of the organization's cross-functional teams, to craft, support, and deliver on the product value proposition for patients, providers, and payers to facilitate access and reimbursement. Areas of focus will include development and refinement of clinical value propositions, as well as the access dimension of brand planning, quality initiatives, formulation of strategies for payers and providers, and enabling account director success through clear articulation of strategy and provision of high impact customer assets. You will also be able to serve and support as a subject matter authority in market access with visibility among organization partners. The successful candidate will have an ability to thrive in an environment of rapid change, work optimally within cross-functional teams both locally and globally, be highly innovative and creative, and demonstrate their passion for supporting patients throughout their journey. Essential Skills/Experience: Bachelor's Degree Proven years of progressive experience within the pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical market including payer marketing, brand marketing, market research, account management, and/or field sales Strong or emerging understanding of the U.S. market access landscape and the legal/regulatory environment for pharmaceuticals/biopharmaceuticals Ability to think strategically and translate strategy into tactical implementation Teamwork and leadership skills, including the ability to gain consensus and act within ambiguous, complex matrix organization - Thorough understanding of customer and industry marketing practices and trends -Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 20%) Desirable Skills/Experience: Relevant Advanced Degree, e.g., MBA, MPH, PharmD, PhD, etc. Experience developing and implementing strategy Experience in oncology and/or managed care/payer experience Experience in oncology buy-and-bill When we put unexpected teams in the same room, we unleash bold thinking with the power to inspire life-changing medicines.
