BASIC PURPOSE: Manages HVAC support team by planning, permitting, and scheduling installations and repairs at Concord communities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Interviews, selects, hires, trains, and supervises HVAC Lead Support Technicians. Provides for safety instruction, equipment, and devices and ensures that employees are aware of safety and quality standards. Provides operational training and technical direction and assists staff in the investigation and resolution of problems. Assigns and checks work. Evaluates performance and provides counseling and coaching to employees. Recommends, initiates and documents disciplinary measures as required. Monitors and records attendance and authorizes timecards. Initiates personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, and terminations. Maintains harmonious employee/employer relations. * Schedules HVAC support team to conduct HVAC service calls to Concord communities on a daily basis. Monitors satisfactory completion of service calls. * Orders new equipment, parts and materials as needed. * Assists in developing content and conducting training for the following classes: EPA Certification, R-410A Certification, HVAC I and HVAC II. * Conducts service calls and installations regularly to assure the teams are remaining current. * Provide licensing requirements for the State of Florida. Apply for permitting and certify work and meet onsite with local jurisdictions to assure permitting is completed for new installations. Pay for this position is commensurate with experience of candidate.
