About the School of Information Technology The School of Information Technology is a national leader in studying solutions and needs that connect people, information, and the technology of the time. The SoIT (School of Information Technology) is home to Ohios first Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Information Technology. In addition, it is home to Ohios first ABET accredited Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity. The SoIT has been growing at 20 annually and currently serves more than 2300 students with 32 full:time faculty members, 28 full:time staff, and 43 adjunct faculty. Job OverviewThe School of Information Technology seeks to hire an Assistant Director, Academic: Graduate Programs to provide leadership and advising support to the School of Information Technology (SoIT) Graduate Office. Reporting to the Associate Director, Academic: Graduate Programs, the Assistant Director, Academic: Graduate Programs will contribute to the development and implementation of graduate program policies that will positively impact the SoIT graduate student experience. The Assistant Director is responsible for overseeing the management of the Graduate Office ticketing system and working to ensure that all Graduate Assistants are meeting the expectations, policies, and standards of the Graduate Office. The Assistant Director, Academic : Graduate Programs is expected to maintain the highest level of professional competency and to contribute to the success of the School's strategic plan cech.ucschools/it/about:us/strategicplan.html, while assisting with other duties in the School and attending SoIT and University events as needed. We are looking for mission driven, team oriented, highly ambitious individuals who want to serve, make a difference and who strive to perform at competitive levels of excellence. Essential Functions: Supports an advising caseload of students in the MSIT program and conducts both individual and group advising sessions specific to degree planning and registration.: Initiates proactive student support outreach and actively participates in communication planning for both new and returning students.: Collaborates with other campus partners on student success and retention initiatives.: Participates in SoIT Graduate Office events such as the Next Steps Webinar, MSIT Orientation, and MSIT Student Meet and Greet.: Oversees the IT Accelerated program and
