Role: Support the credit union's vision of being the community's most loved financial institution, and its mission to make people's financial dreams come true. Demonstrate professionalism and integrity and represent the credit union's core values in all interactions. The Systems and Network Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of network, server and VDI infrastructure, as well as the architecture and implementation of Azure cloud services. They will oversee operations and improvements for all credit union network, server and VDI infrastructure, working closely with management and to meet the credit union’s growing cloud focus and business needs. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: 1. Design, implement, and manage Azure Cloud infrastructure solutions to support the growing needs of our financial institution. 2. Maintain and optimize Windows Server environments, ensuring reliability, security, and performance. 3. Manage VMware Horizon and ESXi environments, including virtualization infrastructure and desktop virtualization solutions. 4. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network, server, and cloud-related issues, resolving incidents in a timely manner to minimize downtime. 5. Configure, maintain, and support Palo Alto Firewalls to ensure network security and compliance with industry standards. 6. Manage Cisco network devices, including routers, switches, and access points, to maintain network connectivity and performance. 7. Collaborate with internal teams to assess infrastructure needs, develop strategies, and implement solutions aligned with business objectives. 8. Monitor system performance, analyze trends, and implement proactive measures to prevent potential issues. 9. Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity. 10. Assist in the support of the helpdesk team, providing escalation support and guidance for complex technical issues as needed. 11. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to systems, networks, and cloud computing. Performance Measurements: 1. Five years of experience in systems and network engineering roles, with a focus on Azure Cloud technologies. 2. 1) A two-year college degree or 2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or 3) Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program. 3. Proficiency in Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting. 4. Hands-on experience with VMware Horizon and ESX, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. 5. Strong understanding of Azure Cloud services, including VMs, Virtual Networks, Azure AD, and Azure Security. 6. Experience in configuring and supporting Palo Alto Firewalls for network security. 7. Proficiency in managing Cisco network devices, including routers, switches, and access points. 8. Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently. 9. Experience with network protocols, routing, switching, and firewall management. 10. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 11. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively. Preferred Qualifications: 1. Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-900, AZ-104, or AZ-303 or equivalent experience. 2. VMware certifications such as VCP-DCV or VCP-DTM, or equivalent experience. 3. Palo Alto Networks certifications such as PCNSA or PCNSE. 4. Cisco certifications such as CCNA or CCNP. 5. Experience working in the financial industry or other highly regulated environments. 6. Knowledge of compliance standards such as PCI-DSS, SOC 2. 7. Familiarity with ITIL best practices for IT service management. Powered by JazzHR
