Requisition No:824294 Agency: Department of Health Working Title: DENTIST : Pay Plan: Career Service Position Number: Salary: 140,000:150,000 Posting Closing Date: 07/31/2024 Total Compensation EstimatorTool Open Competitive Your Specific Responsibilities: stylemargin:bottom:11.0px:: Provides oversight for selecting the course of treatment for a patient, the procedures or materials to be used as part of such course of treatment, and the manner in which such course of treatment is carried out by the dentists and dental hygienists. : Actively participates in quality assurance and quality improvement activities.: Communicates positively, clearly and concisely with supervisors, team members, and external representatives in all interactions.: Manages difficult clients positively and appropriately. : Ensures writing, including electronic communications, is professional, error:free, clear, and concise.: Communicates information to influence behavior and improve the health of clients. : Consistently works to ensure patient satisfaction and maintain positive relationships with other dentists, physicians, and staff to help support the delivery of quality patient care. : Collaborates with community partners to improve health by connecting clients to additional resources.: Works independently and makes decisions based on analysis of data and knowledge of dental practice.: Maintains skills and completes on:going training to maintain an active license in accordance with the Dental Practice Act.: Provides dental services consisting of examination, diagnosis, treatment planning, and care.: Develops treatment plans and maintains treatment records in accordance with the dental practice act.: Performs diagnostic, preventive, restorative, emergency and surgical procedures within the scope of the dental practice act. : Attends and completes 100 of FDOH:Nassau mandatory training by the specified deadlines.: Maintains 100 of the time current licensure, certification and CEUs as required per the State Department of Health, the State Board of Dentistry, and specialty Boards. : Participates in professional development opportunities.: Participates in staff orientation and ongoing mentorship.: Disseminates updated clinical/dental information systematically on a regular basis to staff.
