Supported by friendly colleagues with varied skills and expertise, you'll have plenty of opportunities to grow and develop in a diverse range of areas : all with the opportunity to work within some of Hampshire's most interesting buildings We require a Maintenance Officer to provide an effective and proactive maintenance service for our personnel based in Newport Police Station and other premises on the Isle of Wight. The role holder will ensure that the buildings to which they are assigned, are maintained in a safe and secure manner and in addition provide an effective and efficient collection and delivery service. The role will require planning and prioritisation of tasks for general building and ground maintenance and to cover the identification and rectification of a range of building issues, logging of calls, general repairs and refurbishment of internal fabric as well as all health and safety related inspections and checks. You will also be required to monitor effectively any contractors working on a site for which you have been allocated a responsibility. This will include completing building inductions and permits to work as required, ensuring that a consistently high standard of Health and Safety is maintained. You will need to be flexible when needed, to cover annual leave and sickness at other sites.
