Oracle DBA We have an excellent opportunity for an Oracle DBA to join our expanding delivery function. The role will be part of the Infrastructure Services in which there is a very strong culture of teamwork, cooperation and collaboration. About the role: Reporting to the Infrastructure Services Manager, in this role you will assist our customers with incidents, changes and problem requests to a satisfactory resolution. Strong technical understanding and experience of Oracle E-Business Suite (R12/11i) and Oracle Database Core Technology is essential. This is a flexible role in terms of location and can be fully remote, or based part-time/full-time in our offices in Thatcham, Berkshire, Hyderabad, India or in Dubai. Responsibilities: Attending and contributing to customer technical meetings and briefings. Consulting with customers as a billable resource, engaging with customers to determine their business requirements as required at the Director, Senior Management and Project team level Providing consulting expertise and cost-effective delivery of fit-for-purpose solutions that best meet customer requirements Inputting into Pre-Sales, RFI and RFP documentation responses as well as attending pre-sales calls Contributing to service improvement Taking a lead on various projects (upgrades, implementations or migrations) Translating and designing customer requirements into workable solutions What we’re looking for: In-depth technical experience in Oracle E-Business Suite (R12/11i) and Oracle Database Core Technology, including RAC, ASM and Data Guard Exposure to Cloud Operations Experience (OC, Azure or AWS) Proficient in Shell Scripting Proficient O/S skills (Linux/Unix/Windows) Experience with Oracle Weblogic Server and/or Oracle.
