The Registered shop Technician position is a regulated position that requires the individual to be licensed with the provincial college of shop. In addition to all duties that can be performed by a shop assistant, the RPT is able to conduct some restricted activities under the indirect supervision of a pharmacist. The authorized duties of the technician are limited by legal restrictions imposed by individual Provincial shop Regulatory Bodies. The ideal candidate will be able to accurately and efficiently check prescription requests in an automated refill setting. The shop Technician maintains continuous, consistent work flow in order to meet daily production goals; and has the ability to work productively either independently or as a team. The RPT will be involved in monitoring and adapting workflow as we expand our central fill operation to include blister packs, vial filling, and compounding. They will be involved in helping to plan and manage new workflows to determine what our workflow looks like and how it should be run and organized. Here’s where you’ll be focusing: RPT’s will have.
