The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Position Overview Under the general supervision of the Director of Patient Services Adult emergency, and in collaboration with the AED Managers of Health Services, the Clinical Resource Nurse (Mentor) is responsible for providing clinical expertise and support to novice, beginner and any nurse who has recently completed additional WRHA ED level training. The Clinical Resource Nurse (Mentor) assumes a leadership role assisting nurses in coordinating patient care within the health care team to ensure quality patient care outcomes, and promote an interdisciplinary patient centered approach to care based on best practice. Demonstrates a commitment to the vision, values, goals, and objectives of the region/facility/unit. Prioritizes needs and requirements of novice nurses. Provides ongoing feedback and evaluation of progress to nurses and managers involved. Provides supportive role to novice/beginner nurses/newly leveled nurse. Experience Minimum three years recent related nursing experience required in all areas of the AED including resuscitation and triage. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing or Registered Psychiatric Nursing (Mental Health) education program required. B. N. or B. Sc. M. H. or B. Sc. P.
