PK2 Lead Teacher Full-Time, Contract year August 10, 2020 through June 10, 2021 Schedule - M - F 7:30 am - 3:30 pm Reporting To: Early Childhood Learning Center Principal Essential Job Functions: Essential functions under the Americans with Disabilities Act may include any of the following duties, knowledge and skills. Other essential functions may include, but are not limited to the following: - Responsible for all instruction in preschool classroom, including care and nurture of all enrolled students - Able to communicate effectively, possessing developed verbal and written interpersonal skills - Able to assess the social e motional, academic developmental needs of the young child - Plan engaging/creative appropriate instruction for the 2 year old child - Able to work cooperatively and collaboratively, developing positive relationships with the ECLC staff, administrators, parents, and students - Able to integrate Christian principles into the child's learning experiences and nurture their faith Qualifications: - Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education PK-Grade 3 - Experience working with preschool and elementary age children - Current Ohio teaching license - Strong Christian background - Familiar with Reggio Inspired Approach to Early Childhood Education ADA Requirements: The physical demands, work environment factors, and mental functions described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. MENTAL FUNCTIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to compare, analyze, communicate, copy, coordinate, instruct, compute, synthesize, evaluate, use interpersonal skills, compile and negotiate.
