Clark County (Indiana) Health Department is seeking a qualified individual to serve in the full-time position of Mosquito Control/Environmental Health Specialist.A detailed job description is attached. The hours for this position are generally 8:30 am to 4:30 pm but some nights and weekends are required in addition to being on call. The primary function of this position is to manage the mosquito control program for Clark County. Duties include maintaining the appropriate licensing and establishing and maintaining a surveillance program for mosquitoes, ticks, or any other vector that poses a significant health threat.A Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university. Applicants must be able to meet the educational requirements to obtain a REHS/RS Credential from the National Environmental Health Association after two years. This job requires work in all weather conditions and physical activity includes bending, stooping, kneeling, crawling and hiking during inspections and investigations. A valid state driver's license is required as well as a safe driving record.
