Job Title: Upper School Classroom English Teacher Employment Status : Full Time, Exempt Reports to: Upper School Principal 7-12 Start Date: August 2023 Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; following the school calendar. Additional time as needed for after-school meetings, conferences, and professional development. Job Summary: Able to teach various levels of Language Arts and applications with the ability to integrate faith and learning into curriculum. Job Responsibilities Include: Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of adolescent students. Conduct ongoing formal and informal assessments of student achievement. Maintaining accurate, complete, and current records of student progress, achievement, and behavior. Establish and maintain open communication with parents and students through a variety of means, including face-to-face conversations, email, phone calls and conferences. Work collaboratively faculty and staff. Qualifications: Licensed teacher with either 5-9 certification or 9-12 certification for the state of Ohio Must be a committed Christian who is comfortable in a multi-denominational Christian community Duties require strength to lift boxes up to 40 pounds and stamina to be on feet for 8+ hours on event days. MENTAL FUNCTIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to compare, analyze, communicate, copy, coordinate, instruct, compute, synthesize, evaluate, use interpersonal skills, compile and negotiate.
