Summary - Job Responsibilities - Activities: Create and maintain designs and technical drawings for products using SolidWorks. Utilize basic CAD software to design, develop, and/or document prototypes and fixtures, as required. Assist with writing protocols, performing required testing, and writing the associated reports to include but not limited to Validations and Verification of designed devices, Engineering Studies, Test protocols and/or reports, Installation Qualifications, Operational Qualifications, Process Qualifications (IQ/OQ/PQ) and Gage R&Rs. Perform and document incoming inspections of prototype components if assigned. Lay out, build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify developmental and production equipment, and prototype products, assemblies & subassemblies when assigned. Assist with analyzing the data and presenting opportunities for improvement with respect to design, ease of processing, or ergonomic impacts of new manufacturing processes or layouts. Design, procure, refine, fabricate and/or implement simple tooling and fixtures. Research, compile, and present equipment and/or tooling specifications for applicable processes. Apply Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Lean principles to assist engineers with preparing and releasing product and process documentation to include but not be limited to component or assembly drawings/specifications, inspection procedures, manufacturing routers, assembly methods/manufacturing instructions, setup instructions, setup forms, and test methods. Support production as needed to address areas including, but not limited to, tooling, capital equipment, fixtures, pilot manufacturing efforts and activities on the production floor. Train technicians/operators on new procedures, such as but not limited to, new processes and/or test procedures. Provide support to manufacturing where technology expertise is required. Support and adhere to ISO 13485, QSR 21 CFR 820, GMP, and other applicable requirements. Other responsibilities as required. Education - Experience: BS in Engineering or related field 3-5 years related industrial experience Experience using SolidWorks Experience with data entry and data analysis Required Skills and Competencies: Fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Strong interpersonal, time management, and computer skills Demonstrates success in commitment, accountability, technical proficiency, creativity, and collaboration with others and independent thought Makes decisions exercising judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions Ensures cross-functional alignment and communication of issues and strategies
