Swank Construction Company, LLC is looking for a Operator/CDL Driver for our Saw/Seal division. Females/minorities/individuals with disabilities/veterans are strongly encouraged to apply. Position Summary: The primary purpose of the Operator/CDL Driver position is to perform a wide variety of general operator/labor/CDL driver tasks to reach project goals and as directed by the position's supervisor. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Ability to operate or learn to operate a Vermeer saw. Ability to operate CDL vehicle, that weighs more than 32,000 lbs. Perform tasks which may include concrete cutting, joint taping/backer rodding, joint rehab, and crack sealing highways, runways, and parking Perform safety checks, which includes checking brakes, steering, lights, and mirrors before, after, and during trips. Maintenance of vehicles, equipment, and machinery. Ensure all payloads are loaded securely before moving to ensure safety and to comply with company and DOT standards. Ensure the practice of safety standards in accordance with company policies, DOT, and OSHA. Ability to perform physical labor activities which includes, but is not limited to, lifting, pulling, pushing, and/or carrying different types of objects/materials. Ability to use or learn how to use different hand and power Assist in the loading and unloading of equipment safely and efficiently at various locations. Willingness to perform and learn different aspects of the Operator/CDL Driver position. Keeps job site clean of all unused/waste materials and ensures all equipment is stored in a safe and secure Perform all other tasks and follow instructions as directed by Workdays & Shifts: Must be available to work varied shifts (days, nights, weekends) Willingness to travel for extended periods of time. Education/Certifications/Licenses: High school diploma or GED equivalent - Required. Valid Class A CDL - Required. Up-to-date DOT Medical Card - Required. Experience & Knowledge: Prior experience as a operator, laborer, CDL driver, or other relevant experience - Required. Mechanical, welding, and/or fabricating aptitude - Required. Other Requirements: Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older. Ability to pass pre-employment drug screens & background check, including Must be in a union or be willing to join a union.
