We are looking to fill several Fleet Service Mechanic positions with the Lee County Government.These are contract positions with no set end dateWork location can be throughout Lee County; Cape Coral, Boca Grande, Bokeelia, Bonita Springs, East Dunbar, Estero, Gasparilla, Lehigh Acres, Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel, South Fort Myers, North Fort Myers, and Fort Myers.Days and times may vary with locationPosition details are as follows: Note: Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification is preferred• Ability to diagnose/troubleshoot and repair vehicle malfunctions• Ability to perform maintenance and repair of diesel and or gasoline powered equipment• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions• Ability to maintain vehicles and equipment records pertaining to services performed• Possess the skill and ability to perform vehicle quality assurance checks for all mechanical tasks• Ability to oversee, perform, and coordinate the removal, install, replacement, and repair of vehiclesystems and engine parts• Possess any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation of high school and oneyear of related mechanical experience• Possess a valid Florida driver’s license commensurable with the position and an acceptable drivingrecord
