We are currently seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist in the Alderson, WV area. Place of Performance : The Registered Dental Hygienist services will be performed on-site in the Health Services Department at the Federal Prison Camp Alderson located in Alderson, WV. Qualified candidates will be expected to submit the following: Current resume Registered Dental Hygienist certification / diploma CPR (front & back) Proof of immunizations Benefits: 2,000 bonus after 2-year commitment Competitive salary Health Insurance Benefit Paid Time Off (Executive Order 13706) - effective after one year of service with Nitelines USA, Inc.: One (1) hour accrual per every 30 hours work up to 56 hours per year. Vacation - effective after one year of service with Nitelines USA, Inc.: Two (2) weeks paid vacation after one (1) year of service with a contractor or successor, three (3) weeks after five (5) years, and four (4) weeks after 15 years. Education and Experience : Candidate is required to be certified/licensed as a Dental Hygienist in any State and must submit photocopies of their license and/or board certification. Dental radiology certification, anesthesia certification and CPR certification are also required. In addition, a minimum of three years of experience is preferred. Schedule : Work hours may vary depending on the need of the institution. Shifts will typically take place between the hours of 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The shift will be up to 8 sessions per day, with a thirty (30) minute unpaid lunch period, if applicable, Monday through Friday, exclusive of Federal holidays. Description of Duties: Assists Dental Officer in dental specialty sections: restorative, oral surgery, periodontics, prosthetics, and examinations. Retrieve patient's records and escorts patients to proper dental specialty section; seats and prepares patient for attending Dental Officer Assists Dental Officer by preparing dental instruments, essential materials, drugs, and medications Passes instruments, retracts tissues, irrigates oral cavity, and operates aspirator Observes patient's responses, and assists patient for dismissal from the Dental Clinic Gives instructions for subsequent dental appointments Makes necessary entries on dental treatment records (both electronic and paper records) Prepares dental treatment room for the next patient Assists in the treatment of emergency cases. Provides dental health education Charting for dental screening exams Preparation of patients for periodontal surgery Dental and periodontal charting Places temporary fillings Prepares places, and removes packs Places and removes rubber dams Maintains dental equipment Cleans, sharpens, and sterilizes instruments Performs daily inspection of equipment and makes minor repairs Reports defective equipment, or utilizes corrective action Prepares entries for patient's records
