We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in West Susinteraction to assist with the appointment of a Contracts Officer , on a 3-month contract , likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration. Responsibilities: Communicate with and develop good working relationships with a range of people, such as providers, key stakeholders and colleagues in order to provide specialist advice and information. Develop contract documents for medium to high risk/low to medium value contracts, including tenders, to ensure terms and conditions of contracts cover all necessary aspects and reflect the services required. Develop, maintain and improve systems to record contracts, contract monitoring and quality. Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the relevant database in relation to low value contracts. Deal with the management of a portfolio of contracts including solving problems and issues as they arise e. g. renegotiation of contract terms or issues surrounding delivery of the contract. Qualifications: BTEC / HNC / NVQ3 level or equivalent experience demonstrating that level of numeracy, literacy and communication skills. Demonstrable experience of managing contracts for effective results ensuring best value and optimum service levels are maintained. Experience and knowledge of the care and support market, and of qualityassurance systems and contracting processes. Some knowledge of community-based social and health care services and regulation, as well as general contract and quality management processes. Advanced theoretical, practical and procedural knowledge of contracts tender and management including an understanding of the financial and legal frames governing contract management.
